Welcome to Massage Therapy Olympia
Nestled in the green space behind Capital Medical Center, on Olympia’s Westside, stands the McPhee Professional Offices building. It’s a quaint, two-story building built in the early 1900’s that has been renovated into healing spaces. Although it’s less than a mile to Capital Mall, the hustle and bustle of chain stores and fast food restaurants couldn’t be further away. Surrounded by majestic cedar trees and an English garden, we have carved out a little piece of heaven in the center of one of Olympia’s busiest neighborhoods. Our clients are frequently gifted with a sighting of wildlife such as grey squirrels, Douglas squirrels, rabbits, fawns, does and our resident 5 point buck.
There is ample, off-street parking for your convenience. Unfortunately, because of the age of the building, it is not handicap accessible. On occasion, I do see dogs in my office. Please message me if you have any concerns or questions.
Why Choose Massage Therapy Olympia
Since opening in 2011, we have helped thousands of clients reduce or alleviate pain, increase flexibility, improve circulation, recover from surgery, recover from injury, manage chronic pain and just plain relax. Your health needs are our utmost priority. Each massage session is as unique as you are. Your healing journey is guided by an intuitive, nurturing and caring touch based on decades of professional training and hands-on experience. Your individualized session is created through a combination of verbal communication, palpation (feeling of the muscles) and comfort.
Massage shouldn’t hurt to be effective nor should it be so light as to be annoying. Healing occurs in the space in between the two extremes. When we hear a client say, “It hurts so good!” that’s when we know that we have reached Nirvana.
Meet Your Expert
Wendy Music, LMT
Wendy Music entered into the massage profession in 1994 while living in Pennsylvania. In 1996, Wendy moved to Florida to help her mother who had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. In 1996, she attended Florida School of Massage to further her massage education and to attain national certification. She finished in 1997 with 1000 credit hours at the top of her class. Since that time she has logged many continuing education hours and received certification for: infant massage, pre and post natal massage, birth doula, hot stone therapy, bamboo massage, animal massage, equine kinesiology taping, myofacial release, and trigger point therapy.
In 1997, she opened her first private practice in Savannah, GA and shortly after was awarded “Best Massage Therapist in Savannah” by Creative Loafing Magazine. During that time she was asked to work on movie sets being filmed there and was a favorite of actors, producers and crew.
Since moving to Washington in 2005, she has worked at the prestigious Alderbrook Spa and at the V Spa before deciding to go back into private practice in 2011. While she misses the energy of working with a team of massage therapists, it was important to have a more flexible schedule to meet the needs of her 3 children and to take care of her farm in Shelton.
